See purple side bar to learn a few basic facts about CF.

Causes poor growth, sinus & lung infections, difficulty breathing and infertility in males.     The story of my daughter and how we got involved with Cystic Fibrosis will be coming one day.

Only affects about 30,000 people in America, about 60,000 worldwide.

Makes it difficult to retain nutrients like fat and protein and therefore harder to keep weight on.

Most common in Caucasians but has no racial, economic or social boundaries

Can ultimately lead to the need for a lung transplant.

New "miracle" drugs make it possible to lead normal life but they cost $250,000 per year.

More money is need for research to make "CF" stand for "Cure Found"
